When your memories exceed your dreams, your end is near. But when your dreams exceed your memories, you are a pioneer.”
As John C. Maxwell teaches about this, he reminds us that what you focus on expands.
There are seasons in leadership where it’s tempting to live off past wins. Past successes. Past stories. Past comfort.
But leadership was never meant to be lived in reverse.
When we focus on vision, growth expands.
Possibility expands.
Courage expands.
Pioneers are not people with perfect conditions. They are people with forward-facing focus.
As leaders, we have to continually choose:
Will we become historians of what was?
Or architects of what could be?
